Many pre-apprenticeship programs provide training in specific crafts or trades and pre-apprenticeships work closely with apprenticeship programs and can help through the process of applying for an apprenticeship. For more information on pre-apprenticeship, please check out WVWW and WinC websites.
Apprenticeship includes classroom instruction and on-the-job-training. Usually, apprenticeships are two to five years. Due to the instruction and methods of apprenticeship, you earn while you learn, making this an incredible opportunity to not come out of school with student debt. Many apprentices work closely with journey-level craft workers and gain on-the-job experiences applicable to work.
